Wine of the Week
2006 Striped Bass Red Blend
This not only has a creative label, but these wines fascinate me.
It is 90% Zinfandel and 10%Cabernet. This is an amazing blend. There is something about the Zinfandel and the Cabernet overtones to it. You get the power, you get the spice and blackberry. Because it is a blend you can have fun with it. This will be a wonderful companion to your grill recipes this season.
Wines That Rock
I'm doing something a bit different this time and recommending a line of wines.
These are wines from Parducci Vineyards. There is a Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Blend, and Chardonnay. These are tremendous wines that are made in conjunction with some of the greatest bands.

2006 Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon
With guest host Rob Davis here at the studios this week, we take a look at the 2006 Jordan Cab.
Concentrated, lovely black fruits aromas of blackberry, blueberry and cassis. The mouthfeel is luscious and full with continued flavors of blackberry, cassis, black cherry with a suggestion of vanilla, coconut and cedar. The soft, round tannins and understated acidity of this wine complement the bright fruit characters to create a balanced Cabernet Sauvignon approachable now or worthy of cellaring for at least 10–15 years. If you click on the link, you can watch him describe the wine as well.
