Chamisal Stainless Chardonnay

Thursday, April 15, 2010

A completely stainless chardonnay.

This Chardonnay lets the fruit shine without any oak influence.  Without the oak, this is a more refreshing wine for this time of year.  A little pineapple, citrus, bannana, and apple. The acidity is bright and succulent, lengthening the finish of ripe, fresh flavors.  It will run you $15-$18.

This pinot is very soft on the palate.

The wine opens with clean aromas of honeysuckle and citrus zest, which give way to aromas of pears, apricots, and floral notes. The palate is largely the same, focused on apricots, honey and pear flavors with crisp, refreshing acidity. This is a refreshing, versatile wine, perfect for many occasions. Will run you around $13.

Chandon Blanc de Noirs

Tuesday, April 6, 2010

A sparkling wine made from the red grape.

Chandon Blanc de Noirs is characteristically a delicate salmon color. Dark cherry, currant and strawberry dominate both aroma and flavor with hints of cassis and blackberry. These red fruit flavors build in the mid-palate and finish with a soft, lingering, creamy texture.  This will run you around $18.
